Dr. Robert Palmer
Robert Glenn Palmer holds the B.A. from Davidson College and the D.M. in music composition from Florida State University, having studied composition with John Boda and Carlisle Floyd. He has taught at Brevard College since 2001 and has been a member of the Brevard Music Center faculty since 1988. His compositions have been performed by the Raleigh Oratorio Society, the Milano Classica Chamber Orchestra, Mario Abril, James Houlik, the Helios Saxophone Quartet and the Mountain Chamber Players, among others. His compositions are published by Shawnee Press, Dorn Publications, C.L. Barnhouse, Carl Fischer and C. Alan Music. He has appeared as guest conductor at various colleges and universities and his clinics and residencies have ranged from the southeast to Anchorage, Alaska.
