ALL-STATE HONORS BAND AUDITIONS

Audition Registration

February 1 - 15, 2024

  • Registration will be open from February 1 through February 15. The registration form will be online. You will have to upload a copy of your NAfME card. The audition fee must be postmarked by February 15th for your student to be eligible. 

  • Auditions will be March 2nd. The snow date is March 9th. Keep both dates open on your calendar.

  • April 26th - 28th - All-State Band Clinic at UNCG

  • Auditions will be $20 per student and will be mailed to Asheville High School, c/o Rodney Workman/NC Honors Band, 419 McDowell St., Asheville, NC 28803, postmarked no later than February 15th.

    • Combined Checks? Multiple band audition fees can be on the same check.​

    • Checks are made out to NCMEA. Put Honors Band on the memo line. 

    • Vendor Information? NCMEA should be in the school's system, not NCBA.

    • Use a money order instead of cash.

    • Personal checks are not allowed by NCMEA.

    • To check that your auditions payment has been received, use this link after giving ample time for the check(s) to arrive.

Directors: May require sign-in with personal email .

  • March 2 - All-State Honors Band Auditions

  • March 9 - Snow Date for Auditions (DIRECTORS - KEEP THIS DATE OPEN.)

  • March 6 - Results are not considered official until this date. (March 13 if snow date is needed.)

  • April 26-28 - Clinic at

11:00-12:00 - Registration

12:00 - Directors/Judges' Meeting

1:00 - Auditions Begin

On the day of auditions, registration is from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Directors/Judges will meet at 12:00. The auditions will begin at 1:00 p.m. Signs will be posted for the location of the meeting. 

 

Each director is required to attend the auditions with his/her students. Please do not ask for an exception to this rule. If your student(s) show up to audition without you, they will NOT be allowed to audition. Only directors will be allowed to register their students; parents may not register their children.

 

Please bring your NAfME card or proof of recent payment with you to the auditions. Students will be disqualified if a director's membership is not currently paid.
